Think Pink: Community, Compassion, and Connection
Every October, Muharraq Equestrian Academy (MEA) turns pink in support of Think Pink Bahrain, joining the national campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer through the power of community and compassion.
At MEA, we believe that horses bring people together in ways few other experiences can. Over the years, our “Ride for Pink” events have welcomed hundreds of participants, from visiting schools like Nasim International School to families and organizations across the island.
The day begins with lighthearted activities at the stables - horse grooming sessions, painting and decorating the horses with pink ribbons and safe, washable colors, and interactive learning moments for children. Riders and visitors alike get to experience the joy of connection, not only with the horses but with one another.
As the sun sets, the highlight of the event begins: a pink ride and walk, where over 50 horses and riders take to the roads in their bright pink shirts and vests, spreading hope and solidarity through every step. It’s a moment of unity, reflection, and joy - celebrating strength, awareness, and community spirit.
Through partnerships with local schools, businesses, and organizations, MEA continues to make “Think Pink” an annual celebration of courage, compassion, and togetherness.
At MEA, we ride for awareness, we ride for hope, and we ride for each other.
