Discover the Joy of Riding at MEA’s Summer Pony Camp

Every summer, Muharraq Equestrian Academy (MEA) welcomes children to the stables for a week filled with curiosity, laughter, and hands-on learning. Our Summer Pony Camp offers young riders the chance to experience what it truly means to care for and connect with horses.

Throughout the program, campers learn the basics of horsemanship, including how to groom, bathe, feed, and saddle their horses. They also take part in supervised riding sessions led by our experienced coaches, helping them build confidence and awareness both in and out of the saddle.

Between lessons, the stables come alive with activity. Children enjoy creative games, group challenges, and moments of quiet reflection as they care for our herd of over 50 horses. Each camper receives an MEA Pony Camp activity book, turning their week into a memory-filled keepsake of learning and friendship.

For us, the Pony Camp is about more than teaching riding - it’s about nurturing empathy, patience, and responsibility through the joy of working with animals.

While this summer’s camp has come to a close, MEA continues to offer equestrian programs for children year-round, designed to foster a love for horses and a respect for nature.
